What it is
Dia is an AI-powered macOS browser built for productivity. It connects to your work tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, GitHub, Calendar) and uses AI to synthesize information across them in one place.
Core capabilities:
- Morning Brief - on launch, surfaces your calendar events, inbox highlights, and pinned links so you can orient fast
- Synthesis Reports - aggregates scattered data from Slack, Notion, and Calendar into a shareable summary document
- Context Search - answers questions by querying across your connected apps, open tabs, and browser history simultaneously
- Decks - generates presentation slides from the context it finds across your connected tools
- Meeting Prep - auto-loads agendas, notes, and related documents into a tab group before a meeting starts
- Profiles - separates work and personal browsing with distinct tab sets and logged-in accounts
- Splits - side-by-side window layouts with named, saved configurations
- Organized Tabs - groups and labels related tabs automatically

Privacy note
By default, content data is sent to Dia's servers and routed to AI partners for processing. AI partners are contractually restricted from using it for model training. Data is disassociated from your account before leaving your device. You can disable this in Settings > Privacy. Synced data uses end-to-end encryption. See the full privacy policy for details.
No API or automation surface
Dia Browser is a consumer desktop application. It has no public CLI, no SDK, no npm package, and no automation API as of 2026-06-30. It is not usable as a headless or cloud browser backend. For browser automation tasks route to Steel, Browserbase, Playwright, or Hyperbrowser instead.
